A BIT ABOUT ME

My Story

I found fighting during my teenage years and have loved it ever since, starting with Kickboxing and then moving to Muay Thai and MMA before taking on Boxing. I've been lucky enough to have trained with some of the best in the world, including Thai fighters and world champions such as Nong-O Gaiyanghadao: the current One championship world title holder and previous head coach at Evolve MMA in Singapore and Nampon PK Stereo: an ex Rajandam Stadium champion and WMC world title holder. I've also been out and trained in Thailand under some fantastic coaches, each with their own style, learning authentic Muay Thai from the source.

A lot of people find the idea of learning something like boxing or Muay Thai quite intimidating when really that couldn't be further from the truth! It's for everyone, no matter your background, skill level or level of fitness.

Whether you're looking for a good sweat session or to really improve your fighting skills with Boxing or Muay Thai or just to get in shape and build some muscle and fitness then we can work towards your goals. I’ve worked with a wide range of clients; from those making their first steps in the gym all the way to fighters, and take great joy in helping them all to reach their goals! Never boxed before? Now is the perfect time to start! Boxing and Muay Thai: Beginners will be basic boxing techniques and then start to weave these into combinations including footwork, defence and head movement.

I'm certified by the British Martial Arts & Boxing Association (BMABA)  with Coaching Level 1 and 2 as well as holding qualifications certified by CIMPSA, Ofqual, Active IQ, The British Board of Boxing Control and holding Boxing level 1 and 2 coaching qualifications. I'm also first aid trained and have an ongoing up-to-date DBS.

I've trained beginners and fitness enthusiasts of all ages and abilities right through to fighters and have taught classes in commercial gyms, private studios, local clubs and universities, giving me a wide breadth of experience that I look forward to continuing to grow.

My current personal focus is studying more about nutrition, particularly in how it can be used to boost performance and looking into the use of fighter-specific strength and conditioning and how to adapt and specialise programs to better suit fighters and other athletes.
